Two Workshops in Mohali and Chandigarh respectively on Financial / Government schemes (MoMSME, CGTMSE, SIDBI) for MSMEs The project held two awareness generation workshops on various government schemes for the benefit of MSMEs in collaboration with cluster-level industry associations. The first workshop was organized on 8th March at MIA Bhawan, Mohali jointly by Mohali Industries Association and TERI. About 100 entrepreneurs/BDS providers from Mohali participated in the event. The second workshop was jointly organized on 9th March at CII, Chandigarh by Industry Association of Chandigarh (IAC), Chamber of Chandigarh Industries (CCI), and TERI. It was attended by nearly 80 entrepreneurs/BDS providers from the cluster. The objective of the two workshops was to focus on the following topics:
Mr S S Bedi (Asst. Director, MSME Institute, Ludhiana) elaborated on various schemes of Ministry of MSME like cluster development, lean manufacturing programme, international cooperation and capacity building of associations. He urged entrepreneurs to form clusters and avail the benefits of these schemes. Mr. P M Radhakrishnan (DGM, CGTMSE, Mumbai) provided details on how MSMEs could apply for collateral free loans under CGTMSE schemes. The participants were told to visit the website- http://www.dcmsme.gov.in for details on various government schemes for MSMEs Mr Vivek Malhotra (DGM, SIDBI, Chandigarh) outlined various SIDBI financing schemes for promotion of energy efficiency in MSMEs. He urged entrepreneurs to upgrade their technology from conventional machines to energy efficient ‘computed numerically controlled’ (CNC) machines. Mr. Arun Mahajan (President-IAC) also handed over a proposal to Mr. SS Bedi to avail “Capacity Building of Associations Scheme” of MoMSME. The proposal submitted to Mr. Bedi at CII workshop is for government support for infrastructure improvement of the association. |
